Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Technical Infrastructure Program Manager to join our team. This role will involve managing the planning and delivery of AWS Controls infrastructure, creating and managing goals in safety, quality, team efficiency, vendor performance, and cost. The successful candidate will have experience in program management and/or capacity planning, production planning, operations planning, or inventory planning.
Main Responsibilities
* Manage the planning and delivery of AWS Controls infrastructure.
* Create and manage goals in safety, quality, team efficiency, vendor performance, and cost.
* Developing and leveraging analytical metrics to measure success of program goals.
* Producing accurate and timely reporting on program status for business and finance partners.
* Planning and hosting value stream mapping events with key stakeholders to measure work throughput, identify inefficiencies, determine root causes, and develop solutions to optimize processes to support program success.
* Gathering feedback from internal customers and stakeholders to drive program improvements.
* Developing new programs to support the strategic direction of the team with organizational goals.
* Solve problems and remove blockers to timely capacity delivery.
* Identify opportunities to invent and simplify processes, identifying business risks and implementing resolutions and scalable mechanisms.
About the Team
This role will support the EMEA Controls team within the Data Center Capacity Delivery organization. The Controls team is responsible for the successful delivery of control systems (BMS/EPMS) in new data centers, providing controls support & delivery of capex projects to all existing data centers.
Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
* Experience within program management and/or capacity planning, production planning, operations planning, or inventory planning experience (e.g., forecasting, planning, optimization, etc.).
* Demonstrated project management skills, including managing multiple projects or programs at once in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
* Working knowledge of MS Office and MS Project.
* Knowledge and understanding of industrial automation control systems, including Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
* Experience with business intelligence and data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Quicksight).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience managing complex, high-value technology infrastructure projects including data center/Mission critical infrastructure design approaches.
* Experience managing complex, high-value technology infrastructure projects with intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel (look-ups, pivot tables, etc.).
* 6+ years program management experience with excellent organizational and communication skills.
* Experience leading matrixed teams and individuals across multiple geographic locations and developing quantitative and qualitative analysis and metrics to solve business problems.
