About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Logistics Operations & Distribution Centre Manager to lead logistics operations, supervise daily tasks, and ensure smooth workflow management. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supervising the logistics team directly and implementing structured processes.
The role covers end-to-end logistics flow: receiving, stock management, barcoding, allocations, deliveries, returns, and recycling. Key responsibilities include leading daily operations, managing picking and packing, and ensuring delivery schedules meet customer needs. Team leaders must direct supervise a team of operatives and drivers, allocate duties, plan rotas, and provide training and coaching to staff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the logistics team on a daily basis.
* Oversee goods-in, delivery scheduling, hand-checking stock, booking-in, and storage according to racking maps.
* Ensure all deliveries are barcoded within 24-48 hours and ready for allocation.
* Manage picking, packing, and loading operations to meet fixed delivery schedules for multiple stores.
* Implement sales-led allocation rules to ensure stock distribution reflects demand and seasonality.
* Monitor logistics KPIs: barcoding turnaround, picking accuracy, delivery adherence, and returns clearance.
