Job Overview
We're seeking skilled Electricians to fill Direct Entry Electrical Artificer positions. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing onboard electrical systems, including power generation, distribution, and automated control systems.
* Citizenship: Applicants must hold Irish citizenship or possess the legal right to work in Ireland.
* Character & Fitness: Candidates must meet medical, physical, and security clearance standards.
* Age: Prospective applicants should be between 18–39 years old on the date of application.
* Qualifications (or national equivalent): A HETAC Level 7 qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Applied Physics & Instrumentation, or Marine Electrotechnology QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Craft Electrical, Electrical Instrumentation, or Instrumentation is required.
Recruitment Process:
The selection process includes a fitness test, competency-based interview, medical examination, and Garda vetting. All assessments will take place at the Naval Base, Haulbowline Island, Cork.
Benefits Package
* Basic salary: €49 with annual increments.
* Naval Service Allowance: €20.
* Additional allowances for overseas service starting at €15.
