Flexsource/CPL are currently working in partnership with our client, The Irish Prison Services in recruiting Prison Officers (Trades) to support the maintenance and rehabilitation efforts within the prison system. This role includes responsibilities that align well with trade skills, such as: plumbing repairs and overall maintenance works.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Carry out plumbing installation, maintenance, and project works
2. Complete statutory checks, repairs, and reporting to relevant standards
3. Monitor plant and equipment, and maintain detailed maintenance records
4. Supervise and engage with prisoners during maintenance tasks and daily routines
5. Support prison operations, including security, safety, escorts, and structured rehabilitation activities
What You Bring:
6. A National Craft Certificate in Plumbing (or equivalent qualification)
7. Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience
8. Must be 18+ years old
9. Strong communication, reliability, and commitment to public service
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
