This has created a unique opportunity for consolidation, practice acquisitions, and long-term growth.Finmount Ltd is seeking a commercially focused Business Analyst to support the identification, evaluation, and integration of small accounting practices. The role will play a key part in analysing acquisition opportunities, assessing financial and operational viability, and supporting the smooth transition of acquired practices into the Finmount Ltd group.Key ResponsibilitiesResearch and analyse the Irish accounting market to identify potential acquisition opportunitiesEvaluate financial performance, client portfolios, and operational structures of target practicesPrepare financial models, valuations, and acquisition feasibility assessmentsSupport due diligence processes, including analysis of financial statements, fees, staffing, and systemsWork closely with senior management to develop acquisition and growth strategiesAssist with post-acquisition integration, including process alignment and reportingPrepare management reports, dashboards, and recommendations to support decision-makingLiaise with internal teams and external advisors as requiredKey RequirementsDegree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline1–3 years' experience in a Business Analyst, Financial Analyst, or advisory roleStrong understanding of accounting practices, financial statements, and professional services firmsExperience with financial modelling, valuation techniques, and data analysisExcellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsHigh level of discretion and professionalismDesirable Experience & SkillsExperience within an accounting firm, professional services, or M&A environmentKnowledge of practice succession, mergers, or acquisitionsFamiliarity with Irish regulatory and professional standardsAdvanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI or similar tools is an advantageWhat We OfferOpportunity to play a key role in the growth and strategic development of the firmExposure to acquisitions, strategy, and senior decision-makingCompetitive salary and benefits packageSupportive, forward-thinking working environmentJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: €36,000.00-€38,400.00 per yearWork Location: In person
