Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Butcher to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in meat cutting, preparation, and display, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Cut, trim, debone, and prepare various types of meat (beef, pork, poultry, lamb, etc.)
Maintain proper portion control and presentation standards
Ensure all meat is handled, stored, and displayed according to food safety regulations
Assist customers with meat selection, cutting requests, and cooking recommendations
Operate knives, saws, grinders, and other meat-processing equipment safely
Keep work areas clean, sanitized, and well-stocked
Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or excess stock
Follow health, hygiene, and workplace safety standards
Requirements
Qualifications:
Previous butcher or meat-cutting experience preferred (training may be provided)
Strong knife skills and knowledge of different cuts of meat
Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to (X) lbs)
Attention to detail and commitment to food safety
Good communication and customer service skills
Ability to work in a cold environment and stand for extended periods
