Cork Type of Service: Children's Respite Service Purpose of Post The primary aim is to provide care and support through a person-centred approach that meets the practical, physical and emotional needs of service users with an Intellectual Disability/ABI/Autism.
The role involves assisting persons with disabilities in residential, training and day service activities to achieve their highest level of functioning, maintain independence or improve skills that enable them to be more independent.
The Senior Social Care Worker forms part of the on-floor duty team and will also coordinate shifts while on duty as well as supervise other staff under their direction.
The Senior Social Care Worker collaborates as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT) in service delivery for residents.
