Job Overview
The Payroll and VAT Specialist role involves a broad range of responsibilities, including the management of full payroll cycles for multiple clients. This encompasses the processing of starters, leavers, and statutory leave, as well as the submission of payroll data through Revenue's PAYE Modernisation system.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage payroll cycles for multiple clients with accuracy and timeliness.
* Process additions, departures, and statutory leave for employees.
* Submit payroll data to Revenue through PAYE Modernisation.
* Calculate PAYE, PRSI, USC, LPT, BIK, and pension contributions with precision.
* Prepare payslips, P45 equivalents, and year-end statements for employees.
* Handle client and employee inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
* Assist with CSO returns and Revenue audits where necessary.
Qualifications and Skills
* Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
* Previous experience in payroll management is desirable.
* Part-qualification from an Accountancy body.
* Basic knowledge of corporate and personal tax calculations.
* Motivation, ability to work under pressure, and excellent technical skills.
* Positive attitude, strong communication, and leadership potential.
