Operations Manager Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and coordinate operational activities within our business. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient movement of products from suppliers to customers, maintaining high service levels, and supporting the continued growth of our organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implement, monitor, and continuously improve operational processes across warehouse, transport, and merchandising functions.
* Contribute to departmental budgets, cost control, and wider organisational planning.
* Identify quality control issues relating to products, storage, handling, and delivery, and implement corrective actions.
* Develop and execute operational strategies to improve efficiency, service levels, and profitability.
Fields of Operation:
* Supply Chain Management: Oversee stock control, storage, and distribution of products.
* Logistics & Distribution: Manage B2B delivery operations to trade customers, retailers, and contractors.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as an Operations Manager or in a similar senior operational role.
* Previous experience within flooring, building materials, or a related B2B distribution environment is essential.
* Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, transport logistics, and stock control.
