Quality Manager – in Aviation Maintenance
We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead and develop a comprehensive quality management system within an aviation maintenance environment. Reporting to senior management, this role is critical in ensuring regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across all maintenance activities.
This is a senior leadership position suited to a proactive professional with strong regulatory knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, highly regulated industry.
Key Responsibilities
Establish, implement, monitor, and continuously improve the organisation's Quality Management System
Ensure full compliance with applicable aviation regulatory requirements and industry standards
Develop, maintain, and control quality procedures, processes, and organisational manuals
Obtain and maintain all required regulatory approvals and operational authorisations
Plan and conduct internal audits, including oversight of external service providers
Act as the primary interface with aviation authorities and regulatory bodies
Manage certifying authority processes and personnel authorisations
Establish and oversee maintenance personnel training programmes, including qualifications and competency records
Independently develop and implement repair station and operational processes, including external interface processes
Support operations in translating contractual and regulatory requirements into stable production outputs
Ensure conformity with airworthiness, environmental, health and safety requirements
Coordinate quality activities across internal departments and with external partner networks
Manage quality incidents, escapes, and corrective action processes
Specific Accountabilities
Monitor, audit, and optimise quality procedures and operational processes
Lead root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions
Organise and deliver required technical, regulatory, and human factors training
Maintain effective communication with regulatory authorities
Work cross-functionally with production, engineering, materials, finance, and support functions
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation
Candidate Profile
Proven leadership experience managing teams and projects
Strong background in quality management and auditing within a regulated environment
High level of attention to detail with a disciplined and structured approach
Ability to lead and manage change effectively
Strong problem-solving capability in dynamic and high-pressure environments
Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
Customer-focused mindset with strong business awareness
Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Willingness to travel as required
Qualifications & Experience
Relevant third-level qualification or equivalent industry experience
Demonstrated experience in Quality Management and regulatory compliance
Strong leadership and decision-making capability
Experience working collaboratively with peer leadership teams
Knowledge of aviation maintenance regulations is highly desirable
Additional German language skills are an advantage

Competitive salary in the range of 80,000 – 100,000 depending on experience
