Senior Structural Engineer Position
Job Overview
A leading Irish Civil and Structural Engineering consultancy, based in Dún Laoghaire, Dublin, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join their team in a permanent capacity.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage multiple projects, including technical delivery, quality assurance, finances, programme delivery, and collaboration with other staff members.
* Mentor junior staff and provide technical reviewing of designs produced by more junior staff.
* Develop and manage structural engineering designs in steel, concrete, and timber, including steel portal frames, mezzanine structures, composite structures, connection design, multi-storey structures, floor slabs, foundations, and retaining walls.
* Use 3D structural modelling software to analyse and design structures, and mentor junior staff in the use of same.
* Prepare reports and specifications, as well as sketches by hand and using software to communicate design principles.
Requirements
* 8+ years' experience as a Structural Engineer in a consultancy environment.
* Proactive and motivated individual with a willingness to learn.
* Experience working to Eurocodes/British Standards and competency in utilising 3D modelling software (Tekla Structural Designer, Robot, ETABS etc.).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English language.

* Basic salary bracket of €60,000 - €70,000 per annum (based on each candidate's experience).
