Support Volunteer Role
We are seeking compassionate individuals to contribute to the emotional well-being and daily quality of life of our residents and patients through meaningful connections.
* Companionship and Social Engagement: Develop strong relationships with residents or patients, providing listening support and emotional comfort.
* Activity Support: Assist activity coordinators in planning and delivering recreational and therapeutic activities such as bingo, arts and crafts, and music sessions.
* Assisting with Outings: Support patients and residents during group outings within the community or within the facility grounds.
The focus is on developing genuine connections with individuals, helping them feel valued, heard, and comfortable.
You will work closely with healthcare professionals, activity coordinators, and family members to create a warm, supportive, and inclusive environment.
The key responsibilities include companionship and social engagement, activity support, assisting with outings, non-clinical assistance, welcoming and orientation, observation and reporting, respect and confidentiality, continuous learning, and health and safety.
The volunteer role does not undertake any clinical or personal care tasks and does not replace trained staff.
