Job Title: Front Office Receptionist

Location: The Heights Hotel, Killarney

Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

About Us:

The Heights Hotel, a family-run business in Killarney, is celebrating 50 years of hospitality. With 72 bedrooms and a strong reputation for hosting weddings, events, and exceptional dining experiences, we take pride in providing warm, friendly service to all our guests.

Job Overview:

We are looking for a professional and welcoming Receptionist to join our front office team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out experience while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

* Greet and assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures
* Handle guest inquiries via phone, email, and in person
* Manage reservations and process bookings efficiently
* Provide information on hotel facilities, local attractions, and services
* Handle payments, billing, and financial transactions accurately
* Work closely with housekeeping and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction
* Resolve guest complaints or issues professionally and promptly
* Admin tasks as required such as taking dining, event and special occasions bookings and associated administrative duties.
* Follow hotel policies and procedures to ensure high service standards

Requirements:

* Previous experience in a hotel reception or customer service role preferred
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Proficiency in using reservation systems (experience with Guestline or similar PMS is an advantage)
* Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
* A friendly and professional demeanor with a customer-focused attitude
* Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays
* Fluent English is required; additional languages are a plus
