Fundraising Admin Assistant

Barretstown serves children affected by cancer and other serious having served over 125,000 campers since 1994. Barretstown's essential therapeutic camps and programmes are a vital part of a child's illness journey, supported by 24/7 medical care at our 500-acre campus in County Kildare.

The Role

The Fundraising Admin Assistant will be part of the Individual Giving team working to support the delivery of Barretstown's individual giving strategy. This is a key role in supporting and developing Barretstown's Individual Giving donor base, by providing day-to-day donor care in response to various fundraising campaigns.

The role provides administration support to ensure the smooth, efficient running of fundraising acquisition, retention and reactivation activities, delivering best-in-class donor experience.

Based in Barretstown, Ballymore Eustace Co. Kildare

Main Responsibilities:

o Support the critical goals of the individual giving team to maximise fundraising potential

o Provide administrative support for the team.

o Ensure all donations are effectively acknowledged in a timely manner

o Accurately updating donor information on CRM in accordance with guidelines and processes

o Communicating warmly, professionally and effectively with donors on the telephone.

o Manage regular doner communications

o Answer enquiries from donors and deal with enquiries and requests efficiently

o Provide support for fundraising campaigns and activities as directed by the Individual Giving Manager.

Requirements / Experience:

o A minimum of one years' experience in customer care, fundraising, marketing or administration.

o Strong organisational skills and good attention to detail

o Proficient IT skills particularly MS Office including Excel, Word and database input

o Experience interacting and building relationships/rapport with customers/donors by telephone is desirable

o Flexible to attend external events or presentations as required, this could be in the evening or at weekends on occasion
