Job Description:
Mastertech Group is a leading provider of HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical contracting services in Ireland. We are currently seeking an Electrical Tester to join our team based in Tallaght, Dublin 24. This role will provide exposure to a wide range of expertise across M&E sites in Dublin and surrounding areas. The candidate will carry out testing, inspection, and certification of electrical installations to ensure compliance with current regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform electrical testing and inspection of installations, equipment, and wiring systems.
* Carry out periodic inspection and testing (EICR), initial verification, and certification in line with current IS10101 standards.
* Good understanding of IS3217 Emergency Lighting and IS3218 Fire Alarm.
* Diagnose faults and ensure corrective actions are identified and implemented.
* Complete and submit all relevant test certificates and test record sheets accurately.
* Ensure compliance with health & safety requirements and safe working practices.
* Use appropriate test instruments (e.g., multifunction testers, insulation resistance testers, loop impedance testers).
* Liaise with site managers, supervisors, and clients to ensure work is completed to required standards.
* Maintain tools, equipment, and testing devices in safe and serviceable condition.
* Keep up to date with industry regulations and standards.
Skills & Competencies:
* Strong understanding of electrical systems and circuits.
* Proficient in the use of electrical test equipment.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
* Attention to detail and accuracy in recording test results.
* Problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
* Good communication and written reporting skills.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Qualifications & Experience:
* QQ1 Level 6 Advanced Craft Cert Electrical.
* Qualified Certifier in Electrical, Testing and Verification.
* Current NSAI IS10101 wiring rules.
* ET101 wiring regulations 1st and 2nd edition.
* Experience working as an electrician with a focus on inspection and testing.
* Full clean driving licence.
