Senior Coastal and Marine Engineers – 8 to 15 years’ experience
Location: Cork, Dublin, Tralee, Limerick, Galway
MWP is an established multi-disciplinary engineering and environmental consultancy based in Munster, with offices in Cork, Tralee, and Limerick. MWP’s Marine and Coastal team is in the process of expanding and we have a number of vacancies for talented and enthusiastic Coastal and Marine Civil Engineers.
These roles will suit candidates who are Chartered Engineers with at least 8 years’ experience. Ideal candidates will have some or all of the following:
* Minimum 8 to 15 years post-graduate experience in Marine Civil Engineering.
* Must have attained Chartered Status.
* Experience in the Design and Project Management of coastal/marine engineering projects from inception to handover.
* Experience in the design and planning of large scale port facilities, including elements such as quay walls, jetties, dolphins, and container pavements.
* Experience in coastal flood risk assessment, hydrodynamic modelling, and/or coastal protection would be beneficial.
* Knowledge of government/public contracts and others such as NEC and FIDIC.
* Current experience of leading, managing, and running port/marine projects, preferably in the consultancy sector.
* Excellent knowledge and experience of current codes of practice and design standards.
* Proactive, a good communicator with the ability to lead others in a multi-disciplinary project team.
* Excellent level of attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong interpersonal skills, and good written and oral communication skills.
