Teaching Assistant in Anatomy
This is a temporary full-time contract position available in the Department of Anatomy and Regenerative Medicine.
Job Overview:
The successful candidate will assist in the preparation and delivery of teaching programmes, with a focus on Macroscopic Anatomy and Radiological Anatomy.
The role includes delivering teaching sessions to various student classes, contributing to anatomy content development, and supporting research projects in Clinical Anatomy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Delivery of Macroscopic Anatomy teaching within cadaveric anatomy sessions
* Inclusion of Radiological Anatomy within cadaveric anatomy teaching sessions
* Contribution to and provision of leadership and support in cadaveric anatomy sessions and related activities
* Anatomy content development to enhance vertical and horizontal integration
* Contribution to exams and exam-related activities
* Delivery of occasional anatomy lectures to students and/or extracurricular workshops
Requirements:
* Postgraduate degree in a biomedical specialty
* Funded knowledge of Human Anatomy
* Teaching experience in the area of cadaveric anatomy
* Familiarity with the legal framework that regulates Anatomical Examination in Ireland
* Interest in education and research in Clinical Anatomy
* Teaching experience and knowledge of current issues in medical education
* Interest in conducting research in the field of Clinical Anatomy
