A challenging and rewarding opportunity exists for a skilled Senior Dementia Care Nurse Specialist to join our pioneering residential care community in Bruff, Co. Limerick.
This state-of-the-art facility is specifically designed to support individuals living with dementia through a holistic, person-centred care model.
The ideal candidate will be a registered nurse with active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) and prior experience in dementia care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care to residents across three residential homes (6 residents per house)
* Adhere to professional nursing standards as set out by the NMBI and internal policies
* Contribute to care planning, documentation, risk assessments, and care evaluations
* Collaborate effectively with residents, families, and the multidisciplinary care team
* Promote resident dignity, independence, and quality of life
* Participate in infection prevention, clinical audits, and service improvement initiatives
* Engage in ongoing training, supervision, and continuous professional development
Requirements:
* Registered Nurse with active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
* Prior experience in dementia care is desirable but not essential
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
* Strong clinical judgement and a compassionate, resident-focused approach
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
