Introduction
We are currently recruiting a Meeting & Events Executive for a busy and reputable 4-star hotel in Kildare. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated hospitality professional to manage weddings, meetings, and special events from enquiry to completion. The Meeting & Events Executive will handle client relationships, coordinate event logistics, and maximise revenue while ensuring a high standard of service.
Responsibilities
* Manage all wedding, meeting, and event enquiries, show-arounds, and follow-ups.
* Guide couples in building their wedding package using strong sales and negotiation skills.
* Maintain and update listings on third-party event platforms.
* Plan open evenings, attend trade shows, and follow up on all leads to secure bookings.
* Coordinate with internal teams and suppliers to deliver seamless events.
* Manage bookings for small meetings, social events, and family occasions.
* Prepare proposals, input bookings into the system, and ensure payments are received.
* Complete administrative tasks including menus, seating plans, and signage.
* Conduct post-event feedback calls and proactive sales outreach.
Requirements
* Experience in weddings, meetings, or events within hospitality.
* Proven record of achieving sales targets.
* Excellent organisation, communication, and attention to detail.
* Flexible to work evenings and weekends when required.
* Proficiency in booking systems and Microsoft Office.
