Head of Custody – Trustee & Depositary Services

This is a unique opportunity to lead the custody oversight function within a well-established Trustee & Depositary team, supporting regulated fund clients and driving the continued evolution of best-in-class operational and control standards.
About the Role
As Head of Custody (PCF-36), you’ll play a key role in overseeing safekeeping and custody operations for Irish regulated funds, ensuring full compliance with local and international standards. You’ll take ownership of the custody framework, overseeing key service providers and ensuring that all processes, controls, and governance meet the highest regulatory expectations.
Your responsibilities will include:
Overseeing the safekeeping and ancillary custody services provided to Irish regulated funds.
Ensuring adherence to outsourcing and operational risk requirements in line with Central Bank of Ireland guidance.
Monitoring sub-custodian performance, preparing key risk and performance metrics, and escalating issues as needed.
Managing responses to market incidents and proactively addressing emerging risks.
Analyzing market and regulatory developments to identify potential risks and proposing effective mitigation strategies.
Enhancing the internal control environment through continuous improvement and strong governance oversight.
About You
You will bring:
Deep knowledge of custody and depositary services within the Irish funds industry.
Experience engaging with regulatory bodies, including during thematic reviews, PRISM visits, and outsourcing assessments.
Strong understanding of AIFMD and UCITS regulations.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to lead, influence, and collaborate across all levels.
Proven leadership capability and the ability to thrive in a highly regulated, fast‑paced environment.
