Civil Resident Engineer – Water Construction Position
About the Role
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the supervision and management of water network improvements in specific regions of Ireland.
We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Resident Engineer to work on water projects in these areas and ensure compliance with contracts and legislation.
Main Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with regional contractors to deliver projects in accordance with contractual obligations.
* Liaise with local authorities to facilitate project delivery.
* Conduct Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) audits and manage HSQE-related issues.
* Process work orders and approve service requests.
* Maintain accurate records and update trackers.
* Review and approve as-laid drawings.
* Work closely with IW Design Engineers to clarify project details.
* Handle customer complaints and provide feedback to relevant teams.
* Attend meetings with regional contractors and IW teams.
* Identify potential issues during site visits before works commence.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:
* A minimum of 5 years' postgraduate experience in onsite supervision, site engineering of civil engineering works, including water projects.
* A degree in a related discipline such as Civil Engineering.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise reports and maintain accurate records.
* In-depth knowledge of Health and Safety procedures and regulations, with a valid SafePass card.
* Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
