EHS Specialist Role
Cpl is delighted to partner with a leading pharmaceutical company in Dublin to source an accomplished EHS Specialist. This exciting opportunity will see the successful candidate play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance and driving a high performing EHS culture across the site.
Job Summary
* The ideal candidate for this EHS Specialist position will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with legislative regulations.
* He/She will support the evolution of the site's integrated management system by conducting risk assessments, identifying hazards, and recommending corrective measures.
* Additional responsibilities include working closely with other EHS specialists to drive a safety culture across the site, collaborating with departmental managers to promote safety awareness among staff, and conducting regular inspections and internal assessments to detect potential hazards.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and monitor environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Support the evolution of the site's integrated management system by conducting risk assessments and recommending corrective measures.
* Perform regular inspections and internal assessments to detect potential hazards and recommend corrective or preventative measures.
* Work closely with other EHS specialists to drive a safety culture across the site.
* Collaborate with departmental managers to promote safety awareness among staff.
* Conduct accident investigations and provide recommendations for improving safety procedures.
* Maintain comprehensive administrative filing systems, including archival and storage inventories in accordance with good practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Relevant 3rd level qualification in Environmental Science or another relevant EHS discipline.
* 5 years of career experience in manufacturing environments, preferably within Pharma, Med-Dev, Food, and Beverage Production.
* Proven experience in Pharma or BRC regulated manufacturing is essential.
The successful candidate will have the ability to become familiar with all site processes and procedures, work effectively as part of a team, and demonstrate strong communication skills.
