Overview of role:
We are seeking a motivated and empathetic Basic Grade Physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy services to both inpatients and outpatients, contributing to the hospital's commitment to excellence in patient care.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
* Carry out comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and develop individualised treatment plans
* Deliver exercise-based rehabilitation, manual therapy and education across orthopaedics, respiratory, pelvic health, and general medical caseloads in an in-patient setting.
* Work collaboratively with consultants, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure integrated care pre and post-operatively
* Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with hospital policies
* Participate in departmental audits, service development initiatives, and continuing professional development (CPD) activities
* Educate patients and families on recovery strategies and self-management techniques
* Adhere to professional standards and regulatory guidelines (CORU, ISCP)
Qualifications & Experience:
* BSc/MSc in Physiotherapy (or equivalent)
* CORU registration, or registration pending, with recognition of qualification complete.
* Membership of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP) desirable
* Clinical experience in a hospital or rehabilitation setting preferred
* Evidence of CPD in the area of pelvic health desirable
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
