In Ireland, our headquarters are in Citywest Business Campus, Dublin, with a branch office in Cork. Our team of 50 professionals supports a wide range of HVAC products—from compact 1.5kW split units to powerful 2MW chillers, similar to the ones that were cooling stadiums during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
We are a leader in the Irish market with Air Source Heat Pumps and VRV Air Conditioning technology, and offer a comprehensive portfolio including chillers, air handling units, refrigeration condensers, and heating systems.
Key Responsibilities
As a Consulting Sales Engineer for the Residential Team, you will:
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with your network of consultants, architects, and city councils to optimise specifications and drive long-term business.
* Select appropriate products and prepare technical specifications.
* Identify market needs and propose tailored HVAC solutions to drive sales.
* Collaborate with internal and external sales teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
* Represent Daikin at industry events, technical briefings, and public sector engagements.
* Report regularly on activities, insights, and performance to management.
* Execute strategic sales plans to maximise the number of Daikin specifications.
Department Overview
The Residential Team at Daikin Ireland serves as the primary contact for all residential product inquiries and sales. This role includes a consulting sales function—acting as a trusted advisor to professionals and public sector stakeholders. You will report directly to the Residential SBU Manager.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We're looking for someone who brings a blend of technical know-how, commercial acumen, and a customer-centric mindset:
* Degree or diploma in engineering, business, or relevant HVAC experience.
* Experience working with consultants, architects, or public sector clients is a strong advantage.
* Solution-oriented with a proactive mindset.
* Clear, confident communicator with strong presentation and negotiation skills.
* Organised, analytical, and committed to continuous improvement.
* Positive team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); SAP CRM knowledge is a plus.
