About the Opportunity
We are now recruiting a flexible and dependable Chef who is comfortable supporting both prep and hot side operations. The role requires:
* 3 days per week on Starters & Prep
* 2 days per week on the Hot Side
This position is ideal for a chef who enjoys varied responsibilities and is willing to assist with occasional lower-level tasks to support smooth service.
Key Responsibilities
* Work 3 days on Starters/Prep, delivering consistent quality and presentation.
* Work 2 days on the Hot Side, confidently cooking meats, fish, and burgers to order.
* Complete daily prep, mise en place, and general kitchen duties.
* Support the kitchen team to maintain efficient service across sections.
* Ensure full compliance with HACCP and food safety standards.
* Contribute to a positive, team-focused kitchen culture.
* Carry out occasional basic tasks when needed during busy periods.
Requirements
* Minimum 5 years' experience as a Chef in a busy restaurant.
* Strong hot-side skills — confident cooking meats, burgers, and hot dishes.
* Solid experience with starters, prep work, and fast-paced service.
* Flexible, reliable, and comfortable working across two sections.
* Calm and efficient under pressure.
* Good command of English.
* Minimum 2 recent work references required.
* Police clearance certificate prior to employment.
* Availability for a 1-week paid trial (€14.50/hour + free accommodation).
