Backstage Bar & Grill Letterkenny are seeking a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to work along side our Head Chef and Kitchen Team. The candidate should have a proven track record and be a dedicated worker who is highly motivated, and positive.As the Sous Chef here at Backstage Bar & Grill, you will be responsible for the overseeing of all kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef, including food preparation and staff management. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining our high standards of quality and consistency.Key Responsibilities:Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.Manage and mentor the kitchen team.Help to develop and design an innovative menu that will meet our customers' expectations.Monitor inventory, ensuring efficient use of resources whilst minimizing waste.Create a relationship with front-of-house staff to ensure high standards and to meet customer satisfaction.Maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations and food handling standards.Keep up to date with all culinary trends.Requirements:Excellent communication and management skills.2 years' experience gained at a similar level.NVQ Level 2 or the equivalent in food preparation and cooking.Good knowledge of HACCPRecognised Food Hygiene Certificate.Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends when required.Job Type: Full-timePay: From €34,000.00 per yearBenefits:On-site parkingWork Location: In person
