About the Role
The Senior Agile coach will work as part of
Agile PMO team and will be responsible for defining, training and implementing
agile practices across more than 20 scrums teams located globally in India,
Europe and the US. This is a hands-on role where the agile coach is a role
model in agile practices, delivery execution, works closely with the scrum
teams to improve their working practices and translate their metrics into
quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Agile Leadership
·
Act as a change agent, helping
the organization to understand and implement Agile values and principles.
·
Provide leadership by coaching
and mentoring teams in Agile values, principles, practices, and frameworks such
as Scrum and SAFe.
Team Enablement
·
Assist teams in identifying and
removing impediments to their progress.
·
Set up newly create scrum teams
for success by facilitating team kickoffs and team practices.
Coaching
·
Coaching and training of teams
on all aspects of agile ceremonies and artefacts, including story pointing, sprint
planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
·
Coach teams to work closely
with Product Owners and team members to ensure backlogs are healthy and are well
refined and prioritized.
·
Identify training opportunities
and provide training and workshops to teams and individuals on Agile
methodologies.
·
Coach and train teams on the
implementation User Stories and requirements management.
Innovation
·
Promote a culture of continuous
improvement, collaboration, and innovation among teams.
·
Develop and implement
strategies for enhancing team performance and productivity across the business.
·
Collaborate with other agile practitioners
and stakeholders to align Agile practices across the organization.
Metrics
·
Own and manage the development
and tracking of metrics to measure the effectiveness of Agile practices.
·
Be able to interrupt the
metrics across the organization and identify opportunities for improvement and
training.
·
Experiences and Skills
Essential
·
Bachelor's degree in computer
science, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
·
Certified Scrum Master (CSM),
Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or similar Agile certification.
·
Proven experience leading high
performing agile scrum teams.
·
5-8 years of experience in a
software development environment, with a proven track record of successfully
implementing Agile methodologies.
·
Demonstrated ability to coach
teams and individuals at all levels, including senior leadership.
·
Strong understanding of
software development life cycles and Agile frameworks
·
Strong verbal, written,
presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
·
Excellent facilitation skills
with small, medium and large groups.
·
Strong attention to detail and
focus on task completion.
·
Strong problem-solving skills
organized and quality focused.
·
Proficient in Agile tools
(e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Trello).
·
Must be able to travel
internationally several times a year.
Preferred
·
Familiar with BI Tools.
·
Ability to thrive in a
fast-paced and changing environment.
·
Experience with scaling Agile
frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS).
·
Knowledge of DevOps practices
and principles.
·
Experience in a similar
industry or domain is a plus.
