This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the delivery of large-scale renewable energy programmes while benefiting from a competitive salary and strong career progression opportunities.Responsibilities for Project Program Manager (Hybrid) Provide strategic leadership and oversight for a portfolio of major renewable energy programmes, including wind, solar, battery storage, flexible technology, and grid infrastructure developments.
Ensure programmes are aligned with strategic objectives, integrating multiple interrelated projects to deliver on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Develop and maintain bespoke project plans for each initiative, covering scope, budget, schedule, risk, and resource requirements.
Lead and mentor a team of Project Managers, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring balanced resource deployment across the portfolio.
Maintain robust governance practices, ensuring compliance with internal processes, reporting requirements, and regulatory obligations.
Produce clear, accurate, and timely reports, dashboards, and updates for senior leadership and oversight committees.
Act as a key liaison for internal and external stakeholders, driving proactive engagement, issue resolution, and strategic alignment.
Oversee programme budgets and forecasts, ensuring financial discipline while maximising strategic value.
Lead procurement and contract negotiations for complex commercial arrangements in line with agreed strategies.
Identify, monitor, and mitigate programme-level risks, embedding continuous improvement practices and lessons learned into future delivery.
Requirements for Project Program Manager (Hybrid) Third-level degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or related discipline (Master's degree advantageous).
Minimum of 10 years' experience delivering large-scale energy or infrastructure projects, with at least 3 years in a senior management role in the energy sector.
Strong commercial acumen with proven expertise in budgeting, procurement, contract management, and resource optimisation.
Familiarity with regulatory, grid, and planning frameworks relevant to the Irish energy sector.
Demonstrated leadership in managing multi-disciplinary teams and complex stakeholder environments.
Professional project management certification (e.g.
PMP) is desirable.
Comprehensive understanding of project management principles, with the ability to direct multiple large-scale projects through development and construction in a lean, outsourced delivery model.
