Senior MuleSoft Engineer
We are seeking a Senior MuleSoft Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and evolution of our enterprise integration layer using MuleSoft, enabling seamless connectivity across our billing, signup, and downstream platform systems. You will play a critical role in modernizing our integration architecture, replacing legacy services, and supporting scalable, API‑led connectivity. This is a highly impactful role with strong opportunities for technical leadership and growth.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain MuleSoft APIs and integrations using API‑led connectivity (System, Process, Experience layers)
Build scalable, secure, and reusable integration solutions supporting billing, customer onboarding, and platform services
Collaborate with Product, Architecture, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust integration flows
Develop and manage Anypoint Platform components (CloudHub, Runtime Manager, API Manager, Exchange)
Implement and maintain integrations with third‑party systems (e.g., Netsuite, Salesforce)
Ensure high‑quality code through testing (MUnit), CI/CD pipelines, and adherence to integration best practices
Monitor and optimize performance, reliability, and observability of integration services
Contribute to integration architecture and design decisions, including migration away from legacy systems
Identify opportunities for reuse, standardization, and automation across integration patterns
Mentor teammates and promote best practices in MuleSoft and integration engineering
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of software engineering experience, with strong focus on integration development
3+ years of MuleSoft experience
Strong understanding of API‑led connectivity, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture
Experience designing and building scalable integration solutions and workflows
Proficiency in backend languages (e.g., Python, Django, SQL, Postgres)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git‑based version control, and deployment automation
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or similar)
Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to own projects end‑to‑end
Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally
Preferred Qualifications
MuleSoft certifications (e.g., MuleSoft Developer, Integration Architect)
Experience with event‑driven architectures and messaging systems (Pub/Sub, etc.)
Experience with data transformation (DataWeave) and API security (OAuth, policies)
Understanding of observability, logging, and monitoring tools in distributed systems
Experience working in Agile development environments
