Job Description :About the role:The M365 Productivity Engineer is a versatile team player, client advocate, and solution designer who thrives on solving complex business problems using industry-leading tools and innovative approaches.
Focused on productivity and collaboration, the engineer will deliver world-class end-user experiences through cutting-edge Microsoft technologies.What you will do:Assist the team with designing and delivering scalable, cost-effective, and secure technology solutions for end-user platforms and infrastructure that align with the global technology roadmap.As a subject matter expert, oversee engineering artifacts, roadmaps, service improvements, and feature enhancements while addressing technology knowledge gaps.As a technical lead, build, validate, test, and document solution designs while ensuring smooth operational transitions through knowledge sharing.Develop and maintain design specifications that meet technical, functional, and non-functional requirements, adhering to service definitions, geographical needs, and architecture/security standards.Implement infrastructure solutions to enhance management, stability, security, disaster recovery, and cost-efficiency in the global end-user computing environment.Maintain documentation for all technical services and solutions in compliance with accepted service design standards.Collaborate with operational teams to analyze incident and problem data for continuous improvement and capacity management.Collaborate with various IT teams (networking, servers, storage, security, service desk, and front-line support) to deliver optimal solutions.Execute projects in partnership with other Sun Life Teams including:On-Premise AD, Entra ID, Entra P2, Conditional Access Policies, Azure, Microsoft InTune, Teams, BitLocker, SCCM, and Windows 11.Coordinating with business teams on Graph API integrations.What you need to succeed:Solid written and verbal communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skillsStrong troubleshooting and research skills used to match technology solutions to business needs including estimation, project sizing and project managementGeneral knowledge of networking, servers, storage and data security conceptsBroad multi-platform and multi-industry experienceProven troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsUniversity degree/college diploma in related discipline(s) or equivalent work experience7+ years of industry experience in the IT industryPreferred skills:Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 technologies and Security conceptsAdvanced On-premises AD – specifically related to securityAdvanced Azure AD / Entra AD – specifically related to securityAdvanced Knowledge around Graph APIExperience with Identity Management / SSOExperience with InTuneExperience with Entra ID P2 featuresExperience with Conditional Access PoliciesExperience with Microsoft MTO / Cross Tenant SynchronizationExperience with Certificate Templates and PKIWhat's in it for you:We're honoured to be recognized as a 2024 Best Workplaces in Ontario by Great Place to Work® Canada.Wellness programs that support the three pillars of your health – mental, physical, and financialThe opportunity to move along a variety of career paths with amazing networking potential.As a hybrid organization, you and your leader use business and Client needs to choose where you work, at home or in the officeAs a condition of the role, the successful candidate must obtain a Government of Canada Reliability Status security clearance through Sun Life in advance of the start dateMust be able to satisfactorily complete applicable background checks prior to the start date and during employment, in accordance with Sun Life's policies and practices.
