Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Senior Finance Manager to be the CFO for the Japan and Australia/New Zealand Sales business.
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the fastest growing divisions within Amazon.
As a Senior Finance Manager, you will work closely with business leaders to develop financial models and analytical insights to assist in evaluating new business concepts, turning insights into operational measurements, and identifying paths to improve the overall productivity and strategy of the business.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead short and long term financial planning
Owns and drives all aspects of the P&L
Validate, quantify and drive new business concepts
Present financial summary and business insights to senior management
Tighten internal controls for program spending, revenue reporting and overall operating spend
The successful candidate will have shown experience in past roles influencing business owners and supporting decision making in rapidly evolving environments.
This role requires a self starter with strong influencing skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
This role also has regular interaction with executives and various business units across Amazon and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Basic Qualifications
BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business and/or similar discipline with analytical work
10+ years' relevant experience in corporate finance
Advanced financial modeling skills in Excel (macros, index, conditional list, arrays, pivots)
Demonstrated effective communication skills across peer groups and senior management
Ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to meet tight deadlines
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Experience leading, developing and managing teams
Business level or above English language skills
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of hiring, leading and developing teams experience
8+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
8+ years of mentoring junior finance and/or business team members experience
5+ years of working with senior staff (e.g., c suite) experience
MBA, or CPA
