As part of our expansion, we are currently looking for a suitably motivated - CNC Workshop Manufacturing Lead - to join our group.
What you'll do Coordinate schedules, delegate tasks, and organize training to enhance skills and productivity.
Evaluate workshop performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to increase efficiency.
Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
Supervise and motivate team members.
Operate and maintain CNC machines, including 5-axis CNC and SPDT machines.
Serve as the subject matter expert on key equipment, influencing design and production planning for robust and repeatable parts.
Create Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) programs.
Produce initial prototypes, scaling up to production volumes.
Review drawings, instructions, or samples to ensure accurate production of key parts.
Take precise measurements for cutting or shaping, and monitor production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary.
Select appropriate machine settings and plan the sequence of operations to complete assignments.
Maintain inventory of completed products, tooling, and material stock, ensuring acceptable Quality.
Maintain a safe and clean workstation.
Contribute with and liaise with the multidisciplinary team to capture machining requirements.
Contribute with and liaise with the supply chain team to ensure production and capacity targets are met.
Ability to write effective reports for project requirements.
Who you are Experience in CNC 5 axis milling and CAM programming.
Previous 5+ years industry experience working with previously listed machine tools and other mechanical assemblies.
Experience supervising a team and coordinating schedules and organising training.
Working knowledge of safety protocols for all relevant equipment and workspaces.
Excellent coordination and mechanical skills.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety.
Solid written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in mathematics.
Basic computer skills.
