Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled mechanical engineer to fill this challenging role. As a mechanical engineer, you will be responsible for resolving technical issues, managing project procurement, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Main Responsibilities:
* Resolve technical issues promptly
* Manage internal procurement from equipment requisitioning to delivery on site
* Attend and record supply chain meetings to monitor progress
* Prepare risk assessments, method statements, and health and safety documentation
* Liaise with design teams and supply chains to ensure correct plant operation and successful handover
* Monitor and record progress against the construction programme
* Ensure adherence to health and safety, environment, and quality procedures
* Develop project-specific quality plans
* Review resource allocation and progress with the project manager
* Review and ensure site personnel have correct training and valid certificates
Requirements:
* Degree or trade qualification in mechanical engineering or building services engineering
* Experience in CHW & LPHW piping systems and HVAC systems
* At least 3 years' experience in an engineering role on commercial, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or laboratory projects
* Confident in producing technical submittals and liaising with design teams
* Confident in reviewing drawings and 3-D models for construction approval
* Confident dealing with subcontractors on site to achieve project goals
* Familiar with commissioning processes and project completion targets
* Creating and managing works to go schedules to close packages
* Confident in procurement of materials and creation of detailed equipment schedules
