Our client is a large multinational engineering consultancy involved in highway, public realm, and transportation projects.
The project involves providing technical advice and services related to highway infrastructure operations and maintenance, including contract management, performance monitoring, tunnel systems audits, PPP contract administration, and compliance with safety directives.
The role requires working as part of a small team, collaborating with specialists across disciplines, and managing projects in highway, transportation, or construction sectors. Candidates should have experience in contract administration, project management, and working with contractors and clients.
The Project Engineer will support the Commission Manager, coordinate internal and external resources, maintain project knowledge, manage contracts, review submissions, and prepare reports. They will also conduct site inspections, liaise with stakeholders, and contribute to operational improvements.
Requirements:
* Level eight qualification in civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical/electronic engineering or equivalent recognized by QQI.
* At least 5 years’ post-graduate experience in infrastructural projects.
* Experience with mechanical/electrical systems and infrastructure operation and maintenance is preferred.
* Strong communication, resource management, and project management skills.
* Full driving license and proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word.
Desirable skills include experience with infrastructure O&M schemes, ITS, PPP contracts, NEC3 contracts, and knowledge of highway standards like DMRB.
