Quality Assistant Manager - Location: Longford
We are partnering with a well established food manufacturer to appoint a Quality Assistant Manager. This role suits someone who is hands on, detail focused, and ready to support site standards while driving continuous improvement.
What you will do
* Support the Technical Manager and act as deputy when required.
* Maintain and improve the site Quality Management System and HACCP.
* Lead supplier monitoring and control procedures.
* Complete customer specifications, questionnaires, and tender documents.
* Plan and carry out internal audits such as traceability and fabrication, and close corrective actions.
* Oversee calibration of measuring equipment.
* Lead the Hygiene team on site.
* Train colleagues in food safety procedures.
* Respond to customer queries and manage complaint resolution.
* Assist with new product development.
What you bring
* Degree in Food Science or related discipline.
* 3+ years in a similar role within a food environment.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Self motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative.
* Comfortable collaborating across diverse teams to achieve goals.
* Familiarity with BRC and major retailer standards.
* Good working knowledge of IT.
