Senior Site Engineer
on behalf of our client, one of Ireland's most established and reputable main contractors in the industry.
With over 100 years of industry experience, our client is widely respected for delivering high-quality, complex construction projects nationwide. This position presents a fantastic opportunity to join our clients team on an exciting new development in Clonmel.
This role of Senior Site Engineer involves leading the technical delivery on-site, managing subcontractor activities, and ensuring that all work meets all safety, quality, and programme requirements.
Responsibilities
* Keep all site records, drawings, and documentation up to date and accurate
* Translate technical drawings and specifications for the site team
* Oversee daily site activities to ensure alignment with contract requirements
* Collaborate closely with project stakeholders, including architects, consultants, and subcontractors
* Manage day-to-day operations of subcontractors and direct labour on site
* Coordinate material deliveries and plan site logistics to support project schedules
* Uphold all health and safety protocols in line with company and legal standards
* Perform routine safety inspections and promote a culture of safety on site
* Take ownership of quality control processes, ensuring full BCAR compliance
* Troubleshoot site-related technical issues efficiently
* Maintain momentum on site to meet project milestones without compromising on quality
Requirements
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Site Engineer role with a reputable main contractor or developer
* Demonstrated success on structural and building projects
* Skilled in setting out using AutoCAD, Total Station, GPS, and other surveying tools
* Strong understanding of building codes, compliance standards, and HSEQ procedures
* Hands-on experience managing BCAR processes and quality assurance
* Strong communication, organisational, and leadership abilities
* Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently
* Holds a relevant degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent
