We are seeking an experienced and motivated
Financial Accountant
to take responsibility for the overall financial accounting of
LKQ Ireland
, while also supporting the UK month-end close. This role involves ownership of monthly postings, variance analysis, and reporting to
LKQ Europe
, alongside ensuring accuracy and integrity across all balance sheet reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities
* Oversee and process month-end close postings, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
* Maintain detailed balance sheet reconciliations for the Republic of Ireland (ROI).
* Support the production and timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packs for ROI to LKQ Corporation, including variance analysis.
* Assist with the preparation and submission of monthly US GAAP accounting adjustments.
* Review management control compliance during close processes, ensuring submissions adhere to LKQ Corp policies.
* Respond to internal and external audit queries in a timely and professional manner.
* Manage and resolve VAT and Corporation Tax enquiries and perform related analysis for the ROI entity.
* Complete external reporting and submission requirements to Revenue and other government bodies.
* Safeguard the integrity of financial data shared across the business.
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial controls and close procedures.
Skills And Experience
* Qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA accountant.
* Proven experience managing month-end and year-end close processes.
* Strong analytical ability with excellent Excel and data interpretation skills.
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with non-finance colleagues.
* Capable of working independently, using initiative to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
* A driven, hands-on individual with a commitment to high standards and continuous improvement.
* Experience managing a small team preferred.
* Background in FMCG, logistics, or multi-site operations is advantageous.
* Experience with US GAAP is desirable.
