Airport Rigid Vehicle Operator Job Description
* Drive airport rigid vehicles in accordance with airport and RSA regulations.
* Load catering trolleys and equipment correctly using handling procedures.
* Perform daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects.
* Carry out security checks, seals, and documentation before departure.
* Load aircraft according to galley plans and airline specifications.
* Hand over equipment to cabin crew, including sign-off of all paperwork.
* Return equipment to the unit and deliver items to departments.
* Operate digital tachographs for all movements.
* Maintain truck cleanliness and perform basic vehicle maintenance.
* Collaborate with operations and dispatch to meet tight turnaround times.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Full Class C Licence
* Digital Tachograph Card – essential
* CPC Card and all modules up to date
* Previous experience operating Rigid Trucks
* Ability to pass Garda vetting and a 5-year background check
* Good communication skills & professional presentation (customer-facing role)
* Eligibility to work full-time in Ireland
* Manual Handling is an advantage (training can be provided)
