Overview
We are seeking a friendly, organised, and people-orientated Receptionist to join our team in Cork. As the first point of contact for participants, visitors and callers, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment while also supporting the smooth running of daily office operations. This part-time role will be approximately 20 hours per week, spread across 4 days (Monday to Thursday), working from 7:00am to 12:00pm each day. The position also involves some administrative responsibilities, including assistance with processing invoices.
This is a fixed term contract of 1 year.
Key Responsibilities
* Greet and welcome study participants and visitors, ensuring a professional and positive first impression.
* Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls.
* Manage the reception area to maintain a tidy and professional environment.
* Handle incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and correspondence.
* Reschedule appointments as needed.
* Support internal teams with administrative tasks as required.
* Assist with basic finance administration, including processing invoices and liaising with accounts when needed.
* Uphold confidentiality and data protection standards in line with company policies.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a reception, front-of-house, clinical/healthcare setting or administrative role is desirable.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly, approachable manner.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to multitask and prioritise in a busy environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Experience in processing invoices or basic finance administration would be an advantage.
