Junior Sous Chef Job Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Junior Sous Chef to join our kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Executive Head Chef and Sous Chef in developing the kitchen team and product offered.
* Manage sections of the kitchen to a high standard when required.
* Prepare dishes for service from start to finish as requested by the Head Chef or Sous Chef.
* Ensure mise en place is ready in time for service and appropriate for forecasted business levels.
* Maintain food standards consistent each service.
* Communicate and liaise with team members to ensure tasks have been completed as agreed.
* Keep the kitchen environment safe and hygienic through regimental cleaning and good practice.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a luxury hotel setting.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Able to work well under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor during peak service periods.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high food standards.
