Strategic Product and Business Development Opportunity
Celtic Careers presents an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our client, a market leader in the distribution, conversion, and production of technical insulation solutions across Ireland.
Job Purpose:
This hybrid role combines strategic business development and product development responsibilities, requiring a commercially minded individual with a hands-on approach, capable of influencing customer decisions and internal product strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Business Development:
o Identify and pursue new business opportunities in existing and emerging sectors.
o Develop and execute strategies to grow market share and meet revenue targets across Ireland.
o Build strong relationships with contractors, engineers, consultants, and procurement teams.
o Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums.
o Deliver compelling technical and commercial presentations to prospective clients.
o Collaborate cross-functionally with sales and other internal teams to tailor customer solutions.
o Track and analyse market trends, customer insights, and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions.
o Maintain accurate reporting on sales performance, opportunities, and market intelligence.
o Support bid and tender submissions, contract negotiations, and long-term account development.
o Forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual sales revenue.
* Product Development:
o Lead the research and introduction of new products aligned with market needs and sustainability goals.
o Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to expand and optimise the product portfolio.
o Monitor customer feedback, compliance requirements, and innovation trends to guide development.
o Conduct competitor analysis and identify opportunities for differentiation.
o Oversee product testing, certifications, and compliance documentation in collaboration with technical teams.
o Validate assumptions, test hypotheses, and iterate based on market feedback and performance data.
o Promote best practices in product management across the organisation and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline. A minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, technical sales, or product management is also necessary. Proven B2B sales success, preferably within insulation, HVAC, cleanroom, or construction sectors, is a significant advantage.
