Junior Project Planner
Job Description:
* In this role, you will be responsible for supporting Project Planners on live multi-disciplinary projects. This involves developing realistic and achievable project plans, determining quantifiable targets, and providing support in on-site field progress measurement.
* You will also perform take-offs aligned to the construction WBS for labour/metrics loading of the schedule, develop and populate metrics trackers with quantities for tracking purposes, and provide on-site planning support to the Project Management Team.
* Additionally, you will be involved in collating and developing progress reports and dashboards, attending progress meetings as required, and supporting Project Planners in various stages of a project.
Key Responsibilities:
* Business Unit Planning: Develop and maintain business unit plans, technical support, and monthly business unit KPI reporting and manpower forecasting.
* Planning Process Audit Reporting: Conduct regular process audits, identify areas for improvement, and implement modifications to enhance efficiency.
* Database Development: Design and maintain project reference databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
* Liaison with EHS and Quality Departments: Collaborate with EHS and Quality departments to align monthly reporting and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Programme Co-ordination: Support Project Planners in schedule development, labour and metrics loading, and tracker population.
* Status and Performance Advisor: Provide Earned Value and Performance analysis, compile period progress reports, and support schedule management and control.
Requirements:
* Degree in relevant field (e.g., construction management, project management)
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Familiarity with construction industry software and systems
