The role of Senior Wintel System Architect is a high-level position that requires a deep understanding of Windows-based infrastructure, virtualization technologies, and enterprise IT systems. The ideal candidate will have a track record of designing and leading complex projects across distributed environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, configure, and optimize Microsoft Server environments across multiple locations.
* Architect and support virtualization platforms including Hyper-V, VMware, and Citrix Hypervisor.
* Implement and manage Microsoft operating systems and deployment technologies.
* Support and integrate Email platforms, including Microsoft Exchange and Lotus Domino.
* Design and maintain Citrix environments (CVAD, Storefront, PVS, etc.).
* Integrate and manage CCTV systems, body-worn camera solutions, and associated video management platforms.
* Architect and optimize enterprise storage and backup environments (Rubrik, HP DataProtector, Quest NetVault).
* Lead Windows team participation in new and emerging projects.
* Mentor and guide technical team members, contributing to strategy and architectural decisions.

* Application & Desktop Deployment: MECM/SCCM, GPO-based deployment, .WIM imaging, InstallShield, Office 365/2019

* CCTV & Video Management: Edesix, Intellex, Victor CCTV systems (LDAP integration, role-based access, storage config)
* Storage & Backup: Nimble, 3Par, HP MSA, Scality S3, Rubrik, HP DataProtector, Quest NetVault
* Database & Application Support: SQL Server (2014-2019), Oracle DB on Windows, Oracle Financials, Tableau, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Adobe Creative Suite
Desirable Skills
* Experience with systems integration across various enterprise applications and services.
* Expertise in backup/restore planning aligned to RTO/RPO targets.
* Familiarity with tools like ManageEngine, SolarWinds, Rebasoft/Anuview, and Softworks.

Job Requirements
* A minimum of 7+ years of experience in a similar IT infrastructure/architectural role.
* Bachelors Degree (NFQ Level 8 or equivalent) in Computer Science or related discipline.
* Full clean driving license, own vehicle, and business class car insurance.
This position requires occasional travel to other client sites may be required. Candidates must provide proof of car insurance with business use coverage and a full clean driving license.
