HR Manager – FMCG Sector
Location: Portumna, Co.Galway

We're seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our Site Management Team and lead the people agenda in a fast-paced FMCG environment. This is a high-impact role where you'll partner with senior leadership, drive engagement, and shape the culture of a busy and dynamic site.
The Role
As HR Manager, you will:
* Act as a key member of the site leadership team, representing the people agenda in business planning and decision-making.
* Lead employee relations, ensuring open communication, collaboration, and a progressive working environment.
* Drive recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning to ensure the site has the right skills and capability for the future.
* Manage training and development programmes, from compliance to talent growth, supporting employees to reach their full potential.
* Oversee HR processes including payroll support, absence management, and compliance with employment law and ethical standards.
* Lead engagement and wellbeing initiatives such as sports & social, staff representative groups, and community involvement.
* Manage budgets and employee services including canteen, cleaning, reception, and security.
* Act as the point of contact with IBEC, government agencies, and external partners on HR-related matters.
This is a varied role that combines strategic influence with hands-on delivery, giving you the opportunity to make a real difference to both employees and business performance.
About You
* HR or business qualification (CIPD an advantage)
* Significant HR experience in a fast-paced environment (FMCG desirable but not essential)
* Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
* Financial awareness (budgets, reporting, ROI) would be an advantage
