With a proud history and an ambitious vision for the future, the FAI is committed to fostering excellence on and off the pitch, ensuring the game is inclusive, accessible, and a source of national pride.Purpose of the RoleThe Team Operations Coordinator will support the planning, delivery, and administration of operational and logistical requirements for assigned Republic of Ireland underage teams. This role ensures smooth execution of international camps, matches, and departmental activities while maintaining high standards in budget management, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the Team Operations Manager in planning activities for assigned underage teams.Lead operational planning, organisation, and delivery of international camps.Develop operational plans to ensure smooth in-camp delivery.Support backroom staff in delivering their functions and provide operational assistance as required.Coordinate equipment ordering, shipping, and logistics, including customs compliance.Undertake site visits to match and training venues, hotels, and airports.Maintain up-to-date databases of players and backroom team members.Book home training venues and ensure required equipment is in place.Maintain records of players' caps and ensure accurate documentation.Manage all in-camp team movements and operational requirements.Oversee kit and gear operations in collaboration with the Kit and Equipment team.Communicate with players and manage flight arrangements.Assist in coordination and monitoring of departmental budgets and provide detailed spend reports.Liaise with UEFA, FIFA, clubs, and other associations on competition and administrative matters.Support player eligibility processes including Foreign Birth Registrations and Passport applications.Assist with team operations for other core teams as required.Undertake additional administrative tasks or duties as assigned by the Team Operations Manager or department leadership.Person SpecificationCommitted to inclusivity, fairness, and supporting coaches and colleagues.Professional, credible, and capable of representing the organisation at a national levelA highly organised and proactive individual with excellent attention to detail.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.Problem-solving mindset with creativity and initiative.Methodical and thorough in all operational and administrative tasks.Experience and QualificationsEssential:Experience working within a complex environment and managing a high-volume workload.Proven experience in sports administration, event management, and logistics.Experience managing projects and teams in complex environments.Strong budget management and reporting experience.Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise, and deliver operational activities to a high standard.Desirable:Knowledge of sports governance structures and competition frameworks.Experience working in football or a national sporting organisation.Experience with international travel coordination for teams.Familiarity with FIFA/UEFA competition and administrative processes.Skills & Professional KnowledgeAn ability to form successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.High level of computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office software (MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel).Excellent time management and planning skills.Ability to work independently, under pressure, and to tight deadlines.Strong communication and relationship management skills.Knowledge of operational and logistical planning best practices.CompetenciesCore Competencies1.
