They are now seeking a talented Energy Engineer to join their growing Dublin office.
The Role: Energy Engineer
As an Energy Engineer, you will support the delivery of energy modelling, sustainability assessments, and building performance analysis across a wide range of projects. You will work closely with mechanical and electrical design teams to provide insights that optimise energy efficiency and support compliance with relevant regulations and certification standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out detailed energy modelling and building performance simulations
Support the development of sustainable design strategies for new build and retrofit projects
Prepare BER/DEC assessments, Part L compliance reports, and energy-related documentation
Assist with LEED, BREEAM or other sustainability certification processes
Work with design teams to improve building efficiency and reduce operational carbon
Create technical reports, recommendations, and feasibility studies
Utilise software such as IES or similar building performance tools
Collaborate with clients, project managers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams
About You:
Degree in Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or related discipline
2+ years experience working within building energy, sustainability, or building performance modelling
Proficiency with IES or similar simulation software
Knowledge of Irish building regulations, NZEB, Part L, BER assessments, and sustainable design standards
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Strong communication and report‑writing abilities
Passion for low‑carbon design and improving building performance
