Our client, a leading and well-established construction company, is currently seeking an experienced Health & Safety Officer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated safety professional to play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-profile construction projects while promoting a strong safety-first culture across all operations. For You: Salary: DOE Company Pension Scheme Key Responsibilities: Support the effective implementation of the companys Health & Safety Management System across projects. Provide guidance and support to site management teams on all health and safety matters. Assist with the appointment and coordination of competent persons for key safety-related activities. Ensure robust risk assessment procedures are developed, communicated, implemented, and monitored. Monitor site procedures relating to lifting operations, temporary works, inductions, permits, fire safety, and emergency planning. Participate in the establishment and maintenance of site safety committees. Ensure risks involving third parties and subcontractors are identified and appropriately managed. Conduct site inspections, audits, and incident investigations, identifying root causes and preventative actions. Prepare health and safety performance reports for management teams. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry best practices. Promote a positive health and safety culture across all levels of the organisation. Requirements: Relevant degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline. Minimum of 3 years experience within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and construction safety practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively with site teams, management, and external stakeholders.
