Technical Support Specialist
We are seeking an experienced technical support specialist to join our team in Dublin. This is a fully onsite role where you will provide end user support, administration, installation and issue resolution for our clients.
To succeed in this role, you will need advanced knowledge of operating systems such as Windows, macOS and Linux, including installing, configuring and troubleshooting OS-related issues. You will also have expertise in Active Directory (AD), Group Policies and domain-related issues for Windows environments.
In addition, you will be able to diagnose and resolve network issues related to DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs and firewalls. You will also be familiar with hardware and software troubleshooting, virtualization platforms like VMware, Hyper-V or VirtualBox and cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.
Your communication skills will allow you to effectively communicate complex technical information to non-technical staff or clients. You will work collaboratively with Level 1 support teams and escalate issues to Level 3 or specialized support teams when necessary.
As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience in IT service management using tools such as Jira, ServiceNow and Zendesk. You will also participate in IT projects such as software rollouts, infrastructure upgrades or migrations.
If you have essential Microsoft certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or Microsoft 365 Certified, or ITIL Foundation V4 certification, we would like to hear from you. CompTIA Network+ or CompTIA Security+ certifications are also beneficial. A third level education qualification is preferable but not required.
