Job Description For Professional Services IT Engineer
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Professional Services Engineer who wants to forge an IT career with no upper limit. This position offers an opportunity to grow and develop IT skills in an environment that values and rewards continuous learning.
The role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly. Professional Services Engineers engage with customers to provide installation, migration, and handle installations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and excellent customer communication skills, with relevant IT support experience working in a similar MSP role.
The Professional Services Engineer will be researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and identifying solutions to resolve system issues. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of customer issues reported and see problems through to resolution.
Essential Qualifications, Training, And Experience
* Minimum of a BSc (Hons) in IT or related field.
* MCP experience in a similar position and relevant qualifications.
* Self-motivated, ambitious, with strong technical acumen and excellent communication skills.
* Experience in client/account management within the IT industry.
* Experience coordinating, implementing, and monitoring projects and processes.
* Ability to identify, assess, and develop activities to improve services.
* Flexible, adaptable, tolerant, and a team player.
* Full clean driving license (B).
* Fluent in English (C2 level).
* Specializing in Office 365, Firewall setup, VMware, Veeam, Hyper-V, Microsoft, Apple, Wireless Technologies.
Desirable Qualifications
* Microsoft Certifications.
Responsibilities
* Manage escalations from Level 1, 2, and 3 Engineers, including major incidents, coordinating resolutions with resolver groups and third parties, and conducting post-incident reviews.
* Lead designated projects, including installation of server hardware, firewalls, core infrastructure, Wi-Fi, cloud solutions, and networks.
* Collaborate with Sales and Project Management to develop project plans and deliver pre-sales technical support.
* Provide high-level customer service and professionalism at all times.
* Mentor Level 1, 2, and 3 Engineers, promoting a learning and customer service culture.
* Build and maintain proactive, positive relationships with clients.
* Support customers with hardware and software issues onsite or remotely, including travel for installations and repairs.
* Continuously learn new technologies and identify training needs.
