Civils Site Manager / Site Supervisor Location: South Dublin, Dublin 4 Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Sector: Civils About the Role We are seeking an experienced and proactive Civils Site Manager / Site Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations on 2 active construction sites in Dublin 4. The ideal candidate is highly organised, safety-driven, and capable of leading site teams to deliver high-quality work efficiently and professionally. This role requires strong communication, excellent record-keeping, and the ability to build collaborative client relationships. Key Responsibilities Site Leadership & Operations Lead, supervise, and support onsite teams to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality. Maintain a positive, solution-focused site culture with clear direction and communication. Attend and actively participate in weekly client meetings, representing the project professionally. Health, Safety & Compliance Ensure all works comply with statutory and internal safety procedures and standards. Coordinate and issue safety documentation including SPA (Safe Plan of Action), permits, toolbox talks, and incident reports. Conduct proactive daily safety walks and weekly structured safety inspections, taking action on any issues raised. Promote a culture of continuous improvement in onsite safety and behaviour. Documentation & Reporting Maintain a detailed daily site diary documenting progress, labour, plant, and materials. Record all variations, extra works, and delays, ensuring records are signed off promptly and communicated to relevant teams. Notify the client immediately if there are delays or missing client-supplied materials. Planning & Programme Delivery Prepare internal look-ahead programmes to plan labour, plant, materials, and subcontractor needs. Coordinate with the commercial and QS team to ensure all works are recorded accurately for valuations and forecasting. Monitor on-site productivity and resource allocation to support efficient project delivery. Plant, Equipment & Logistics Conduct weekly plant inspections and report defects or maintenance needs. Maintain accurate records of plant, equipment, small tools, and surveying instruments. Coordinate external muck-away lorries and maintain weekly logs. Experience & Requirements 5+ years experience in a Site Supervisor or Site Manager role within civils construction. Strong understanding of construction safety standards and legislative requirements. Excellent organisational, reporting, and communication skills. Ability to lead teams and work collaboratively with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders. Proficiency in reading drawings, planning works, and managing site logistics. Full, clean drivers licence.
